An Evening with Lady Macbeth
On Sunday, June 14, we invite the public to join us at The Colonial Theater for an evening of Lady Macbeth.
This fundraiser event will include scenes from our upcoming production, a screening of the film Throne of Blood (by Akira Kurosawa) and a conversation with folks from MidCoast Shakes about the (Lady) Macbeth project.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, event begins at 6:30 PM.
We will also be auctioning off a beautiful copy of Macbeth, donated to us by The Old Professor’s Bookshop in Belfast!

2026 Summer Shakespeare
This summer, MidCoast Shakes is thrilled to perform an original adaptation of Shakespeare’s witchy-est play:
(Lady) Macbeth
This production is in partnership with Belfast Parks and Rec Department and is offered FREE to the public.
Performances are June 24 - 28, 2026 at Belfast City Park. Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat at 6 PM and Sat/Sun at 1 PM.
Live music during the show provided by The Sea Strings and Sally Jones (the Bagpipe Lady)!

2025 Summer Shakespeare Festival:
In July 2025, MidCoast Shakes held our inaugural Summer Shakespeare Festival, in partnership with Belfast Parks and Rec Department. We were thrilled to bring free performances of Twelfth Night to the Belfast community with five shows over 4 days (July 30th, August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
We also held our first family-fun event on Saturday, August 2nd. Families and friends joined us for free face painting, puppet making, rainmaker creation and a live Shakespeare Insult Booth!
We thank everyone who came out for our Summer Shakespeare Festival, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!
